Our Mission: The mission of NETMWD is to protect the water quality in the Cypress Basin and to provide a sufficient supply of water to Northeast Texas.
Major Objectives: Assure delivery of a sufficient supply of water to communities in Northeast Texas. Active involvement of NETMWD in water quality issues. NETMWD intends to continue as the Contractor for the Clean Rivers Program for the TCEQ, and will seek involvement in the TMDL effort. Active involvement of NETMWD in regional water planning issues by continuing as the Administrative Agency for the North East Texas Regional Planning Group funded with grants from the TWDB in this effort.

Public involvement and outreach efforts help support the permitting process, and encourage citizen involvement in identifying permit-related priorities and other water quality issues.
